Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh; yet without you, no one shall lift up hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.”
Yosef was paraded in a royal procession with 3000 men marching before him playing instruments and singing, 5000 armed troops, and 20,000 aristocrats walking behind him. Some of the king’s own private guards walked alongside Yosef carrying incenses, perfumes and fragrant flowers.
After the parade, Pharaoh gave Yosef gifts of fields and real estate,100 servants, 3000 measures of gold, 3000 measures of silver, precious stones and other gifts. He also announced that the next day everyone must bring Yosef gifts, as well.
