Make a Dedication

וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵ֛ן חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם בְּלָטֵיהֶ֑ם וַיֶּחֱזַ֤ק לֵב־פַּרְעֹה֙ וְלֹא־שָׁמַ֣ע אֲלֵהֶ֔ם כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָֽה׃
But when the Egyptian magicians did the same with their spells, Pharaoh’s heart stiffened and he did not heed them—as the LORD had spoken.
This verse is describing the use of demons.
Since demons are are invisible, their actions are “hidden” [balat].
This is similar to the verse “And the flaming [lahat] sword that turned every way” (Genesis 3:24) which refers to a sword revolving by itself.
