Why weren’t the Leviim mentioned?
וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח אֹתָ֥ם מֹשֶׁ֛ה מִמִּדְבַּ֥ר פָּארָ֖ן עַל־פִּ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כֻּלָּ֣ם אֲנָשִׁ֔ים רָאשֵׁ֥י בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵֽמָּה׃
So Moses, by the LORD’s command, sent them out from the wilderness of Paran, all the men being leaders of the Israelites.
The Leviim are not mentioned in the list of the tribes because they weren’t going to get a share of Eretz Israel and therefore didn’t need to check anything in the land.
