Make a Dedication
March 13, 2019
Rabbi Eytan Yehudah Dzikowski
What are the signs necessary for the birds offerings?
If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, he shall choose his offering from turtledoves or pigeons.
Turtle Doves can only be brought once they matured.
Doves, in contrast, are only brought while young. Their maturity level is determined by the shine of the feathers around their necks.
Neither turtle doves or doves may be brought while their feathers are in the midst of changing.
(Rashi, Chullin 22a)
