Make a Dedication

Rabbi Eytan Yehudah Dzikowski
Where did the execution of the idolater take place?
You shall take the man or the woman who did that wicked thing out to the public place, and you shall stone them, man or woman, to death.
One who is liable to receive the death penalty because of the sin of avodah zarah must be executed where the sin occurred, and not where the sentence is given.
This is in order to demonstrate to everyone that the very same “gods” the person worshipped are powerless to save him.
