Did you know...?
Ch.28, vs.15
What is the difference between the 2 sets of curses?
But if you do not obey the LORD your God to observe faithfully all His commandments and laws which I enjoin upon you this day, all these curses shall come upon you and take effect:
The first set of curses found in parshat Bechukotai were said by Moshe in the name of Hashem. The set of curses found in this parsha, however, were the words of Moshe that were divinely inspired.
The first set of curses refers to the era preceding the destruction of the first Beit Hamikdash and the exile that followed. The set of curses found here refer to the era preceding the destruction of the second Beit Hamikdash and the current exile.
(Ramban)
