Rabbi Eytan Yehudah Dzikowski
What was Esav dressed when serving his father?
Yitzchak favored Esav because he had a taste for game; but Rivkah favored Yaakov.
Esav would don his best clothes to serve his father.
These are the same clothes that God made for Adam which Esav stole from Nimrod. When Esav was 15 years old he stole the cloak that Nimrod inherited from Adam.
The cloak had pictures of all sorts of animals and birds that seemed to be alive, which would attract them to him. This made hunting very easy.
Esav was now worried that Nimrod would seek revenge for this and would kill him. Hence, he felt that he was “at the point of death.”
Ultimately, Esav killed Nimrod when Nimrod was 215 years old and had ruled the entire civilized world for 185 years.
