When did the Egyptians kill their own fathers?
Speak to the whole community of Israel and say that on the tenth of this month each of them shall take a lamb to a family, a lamb to a household.
When Moshe warned the Egyptians of the imminent “plague of the firstborn,” the firstborns came and demanded from their fathers, and those in charge, that the Jews be freed so that they not die.
Their request was denied, and in fact, Pharaoh ordered that the feet of all first born be cut off.
As a result, the firstborns went on a killing spree, killing their fathers and many others.
