Were the Cheruvim of the Mishkan and the Temple similar?
וְהָי֣וּ הַכְּרֻבִים֩ פֹּרְשֵׂ֨י כְנָפַ֜יִם לְמַ֗עְלָה סֹכְכִ֤ים בְּכַנְפֵיהֶם֙ עַל־הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת וּפְנֵיהֶ֖ם אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־אָחִ֑יו אֶל־הַכַּפֹּ֔רֶת יִהְי֖וּ פְּנֵ֥י הַכְּרֻבִֽים׃
The cheruvim shall have their wings spread out above, shielding the cover with their wings. They shall confront each other, the faces of the cheruvim being turned toward the cover.
The wings of the cheruvim spread upwards and formed a canopy that was 10 tefachim over the cover of the Aron.
The cheruvim of the Mishkan resembled children, while the cheruvim of the Beit Hamikdash resembled adults.
